And to toss in the other side, there are Legacy airframes with the metal har=
tzell flying as smooth as a turbine.   Ed Martin's in my hangar has one of t=
hem.  Last week, I noticed my flap tops were marked and Ed's were perfect co=
ndition.   His flaps are tight with no fore/aft play in the UP position.  Mi=
ne have some slop in the UP position fore/aft and that leads to side play as=
 well.=20

These issues are not entirely noticeable unless you have someone familiar wi=
th all these issues as Steve points out.
