If you file and execute an IFR flight plan, it will usually show up. If you fly without a flight plan and just ask for advisories, it depends = on what the controllers do with your information whether you really show = up or not. I bet Ron Galbraith could provide some insight. Colyn On Nov 11, 2013, at 10:37 AM, = wrote: Dear subscribers, On 11/9/2013 I flew from 5G7 (Ohio) to MYR (South Carolina) and back on the same day. I had a great tailwind at FL230 going south and I recall seeing ground speeds up to 315 kts at one point. When I try to look up the flight on flightaware I just see the slow flight coming back - the fast flight going south is missing. I recall that this happened at least two more times so far: The flight going somewhere with a strong tailwind and ground speeds >300kts is missing and the flight back on the same day is there. Is this just a coincident or has someone else experienced something similar? Ralf -- For archives and unsub = http://mail.lancaironline.net:81/lists/lml/List.html
