As others have pointed out: - the Hartzell scimitar is considered fastest. - the Hartzell metal prop is heavier. If you need ballast near the front of the plane, something to consider. I think that's an issue with the IV's but if memory serves, not the ES's. - the Hartzell full feathering metal prop is heavier still. - a composite prop is smoother and lighter.
If it weren't for CG considerations, I would go with a composite prop and as Bob pointed out, the constant speed is nearly as good as full feathering when it comes to glide. One thing you should make sure you understand is what your prop will do if it loses oil pressure. A full feathering prop will go to coarse pitch. Most constant speed props will go to fine pitch.
