replace all small lines with large lines
the factory supplied small lines in the early models like mine
when over 18000 feet there is a momentary lack of fuel flow despite high flow that at times stops the engine and cuts the pressurization and scares the beejesus of the passengers
the get around on those planes with small lines is to use high boost for 2-3 minutes but you still get a very rich engine and roughness
then switch tanks and then go back to low flow is doable and does not cause a problem but at times there is still roughness in the process
and remember you have to switch tanks every 15 minutes but i do it every 30 minutes unlike in the eve
so i advise to replace all lines to large ones
the fuel pump is inside the cabin, i guess you can place the fuel pump outside but that was not on the plans,

Earlier today I visited a IV-P under construction and discovered that the fuel system used -6 lines from the wings to the selector valve and then -8 lines to the boost pump and to the gascolator.  I questioned him why he did it that way and he said those were the fittings that were supplied with the kit for that purpose.  It's been almost 15 years since I did any plumbing on a IV-P but my recollection is that all lines from the wings to the gascolator were -8 and I know for a fact that the Legacy is that way.  Has anyone seen this before?  It seems to me that the -6 would be marginal in flow capacity.  He hasn't installed the fuselage top yet so now would be the time for him to change things.  Any feedback or thoughts on this would be appreciated and I'll pass them along to him.  I'll also try to get him on the LML.  He hadn't heard of it.  Thanks in advance.
