I have also had problems with a microswitch sticking on the MAC grip. I
released the tension on the screws holding the two halves of the stick
together and it fixed it, but I have no confidence that it won't happen again.

I have been soldering electronic stuff since the 50's, and consider myself
pretty good at it. Now maybe my eyes are not so good and my hands are not
so steady, but soldering up that MAC 5-button stick grip was a five-star SOB!

MAC should offer them pre-wired with 24" pigtails or something.
