For my aircraft, in summary, I carry "Hull, not in motion" and liability plus a life insurance policy. I put the $8,000 a year that I would be paying for full insurance into a retirement/ airplane repair fund. I now have over $60K built up in the airplane fund. Remember, you should have only enough insurance to replace what you cannot afford to loose. I use Zanette Aviation Insurance in San Carlos, CA, 888 723 3358.
