(At least I think it was a Lancair. I looked at so many planes....) I believe this to be a "Koger sunshade" made by an RV builder named Roger Koger. This sunshade is available through the Van's Aircraft parts catalog and the URL is: http://www.vansaircraft.com/cgi-bin/catalog.cgi?ident=967009075-164-438&browse =airframe&product=koger-shade It costs $149. I'm not 100% sure that this is the same item, but it looks like it is. The one I saw was a very nice product. It slides back when you don't need it and the rails install with little suction cups. The passenger and pilots shades are on separate tracks, so each can get what they want. Looked very lightweight, too. By the way, in the gliders we just wear those goofy hats. Baseball caps don't work, since the brim hits the canopy when you turn your head and the cap falls off. If you do get one of those goofy hats, cut the little button off the top. They can fracture canopies when your head hits then in turbulence. (Of course, gliders have much lower wing loading than Lancairs...) - Rob Wolf [There was an article by Jim Frantz in issue 43 of the LNN regarding his installaion of the Koger SunShade in his 360. He spoke glowingly of its effectiveness and recommended the product highly. ] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
