I have experienced a couple of events w=
here my engine monitor alerted that there was an over voltage situation. <=
br>My upper limit is set at 15 volts and the display was showing 15.2 to 16=
 volts.

After troubleshooting the system the regulator was determi= ned to be the problem.

I have an adjustable regulator and adjustme= nt was unable to fix the issue.

I replaced the unit with a properl= y adjusted one and have about 8 hours on it without problem.
The system= displays 14.2-14.7 at all times in cruise.

My questions are: Wha= t numbers should I be seeing? Is my 15V limit correct? Would spikes of 16= V damage my system?
Would constant readings of 16V be bad? Any suggesti= ons for actions needed to assure reliability?

Thanks for your input= .
