I had numerous problems with tearing - many gloves tore as I pulled them on. I was using an extra-large size, so it wasn't due to excessive stretching. I found that after a box was opened it aged rapidly - later gloves tore more easily. I switched to the latex gloves sold in the medical department at Long's Drugs, which are a lot stronger. Then I developed a reaction to the hardener, which works its way through the latex. I tried nitrile gloves, and still had a reaction. I'm not entirely sure it was through the gloves - it may have been accidental touching after ungloving. Then I tried vinyl gloves - more comfortable and tougher but still permeable. Now I wear butyl gloves, and nothing gets through them. I wear a thin cotton liner to adsorb sweat, and a pair or vinyl or latex outer gloves to keep the relatively expensive butyl gloves clean (yes, I'm actually wearing 3 pairs of gloves). My hands always sweat a lot (I could never be a politician - people wouldn't trust me after shaking my sweaty hands!) so the cotton liners are great. The disposable outer gloves simply make life easier. And no more itchy rash. -- Best regards, David glausers@gte.net >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
