"What are other people making dustcovers for 320´s from?"

I just went through my photo log and found a photo that includes the dust cover. As you can see, a made-from-scrap dust cover is not manufactured over night.

My particular cover is upholstered with flat black (anti glare) cloth on 3/16" foam material. Yes, I know holes will be burnt.......
Anyway, it is a std. Lancair dust cover. It was a fairly easy fit. It needs to be cut to size, then some material removal for the canpoy gas cylinders and two slots for the fwd. canopy hinges. I made 4 ea. 4-BID fiberglass "clips", that I glued onto the rear face of the header tank, to hold the fwd. end of the dust cover in place. I just bent a piece of scrap stainless plate, used it as a mold for a 5" wide segment of "clip material", that I cut into 4 pieces, maybe a good inch wide or so. The upholstery is wrapped around the front end of the dust cover, so it won´t rattle (I hope!). Velcro on top of the instrument panel.
I installed a couple of 3.5" computer blowers as defrosters/defoggers. The blowers just move slightly warmer air from the footwells to the canopy. I hope it will be enough; I haven´t flown my 360 yet......
