The main reason is actually the = audio unit that you can get together with the GTN750. The clarity and = sound quality is beyond anything I have heard in a plane so far. In the = past tower and me had difficulties understanding each other (mainly = because I am foreigner and have a bad accent), but now we never had any = problems anymore.=20 I had problems in the past hearing instructions, IFR releases etc, now = it seems so much easier, just because the radio is so damn good. The XM also is great, and being able to mix ATC and XM-radio (on a VFR = flight only) also makes it more fun. =3D=3D Ronald (>120 hours Lancair 4p, 1400 hours with other planes) On Dec 19, 2011, at 10:00 AM, Berni Breen wrote: > As I continue to develop my plan to update my existing 360 panel I am = considering changing out my existing WAAS enabled 530 for a Garmin 650. = This additional change is being considered due to the extremely low net = cost to do so. I am installing a dual screen = G3X (MFD/PFD) therefore it seems to me that moving to a Garmin 750 would = not only be excessively costly but also would not add much = functionality.
