This additional change is being considered due to the extremely low net cost to do so. The net cost of selling my 530 and replacing it with a new 650 is only $1,400. My question is...is this a good idea? I am installing a dual screen G3X (MFD/PFD) therefore it seems to me that moving to a Garmin 750 would not only be excessively costly but also would not add much functionality. Changing out to the 650 is very inexpensive and affords me almost as much added functionally as the 750. Keeping the existing 530 costs nothing but keeps me on a platform that will not be developed beyond where it is now. Bottom line 750 net cost would be 8K, 650 1.5K, stay with the 530...free.
