FWIW 

 

   My search for a tach sensor for the Slick mag on my TSIO 550 to power a VM-1000 engine moniter

resulted in the following:

 

JMI - $ 361

 

Westech -  $ 74.60  (# 720-14R slick,  # 720-14RN-Bendix)

 

NOTE -  Previous info on the web suggested rotating the mag to replace sensor.  BE CAREFUL,  its very easy to shear the leads off the sensor trying to do this. (dont ask)

 

BTW, before I located the correct Westach sensor, I found a new sensor for the Bendix mag which is

considerably smaller so I found a machinist  to make a custom spacer.  Im hoping it fits with no more problems.
