Jeffrey,
Aircraft paint lasts for 10+ years on a hangered plane and most pilots would not strip and re-paint in less than 20 years. On the other hand people who wax their planes might do so once or twice each year. So is your coating more in the latter category - perhaps reapplied each icing season? That would seem acceptable depending on the cost.

Not yet available to the retail market. Like all coatings and aircraft paint, it will need to be reapplied periodically.
Seems to work great on sneakers at 7 mph. Wonder how long it withstands air, dust, bugs, and rain at 200+mph.
Anyone on the LML tried it yet?

At Ross Nanotechnology, we have developed a super hydrophobic coating that completely repels water and heavy oils. Any object coated with our NeverWet? coating literally cannot be touched by liquid. Any liquid placed on this coating is repelled and simply rolls off without touching the underlying surface. Not only is this amazing to see, but it solves a myriad of problems
