Well, it’s getting time to start thinking about the expensive stuff for this project.  Does anybody know of a Lycoming engine reference that lists information like wide deck case / narrow deck case, solid / hollow crank, forward / aft / down facing induction mount in the sump, etc. for a given engine model?  This info doesn’t seem to be available on Lycoming’s web site.

Also, is there a good “Lycomings For Dummies” book that anyone can recommend?  I already have the Bingelis books as well as the overhaul manual.
