Matt,

This is purely an opinion, not based on any facts.

Don’t do it!  None of the FWF material is designed to support the weight of the entire plane.  Something will bend or break and you may not even know it.

Subject: [LML] moving Legacy on the Crankshaft?

Hello all,

I have a question, do you think it would be possible to damage my engine if I lifted the legacy from the crankshaft and tail section, rotated it 45 degrees and moved it down a driveway? It would be on the rotisserie but the engine mount and engine would be installed, I would need to move it from the backyard to the frontyard down a narrow (less than 10ft wide) pathway. If it is at a 45 degree angle it will fit. I figure I should be able to make something to connect the crankshaft to the rotisserie and lift/rotate it. Does anyone see a problem with this? Can the rotisserie take the weight?  Could this bend my crankshaft?

Any opinions? Has anyone done this and not broken their airplane?

thanks,

Matt
