Thanks again to all who weighed in. I was able to find a website that debunked these issues. The apparently official advice is that for high performance aircraft Shell 22 or the Mobil SHC 100 is appropriate for wheel bearings. They are interchangeable I think, but are incompatible with Shell 5 and certain other (maybe most other) greases and will cause corrosion if mixed. Have not confirmed that our wheels come with the SHC 100 or not, but one responder stated this.

Aeroshell 5 is the standard petroleum grease and Mobil 28 is a the synthetic. Buy the way Gulfstream uses Mobil 28 or they did in the 90's when I worked there as a mechanic in the service center.
I use Aeroshell 5 in the LNC4-PT that I fly and maintain for a customer and we have had no problems since Jan. 2007 when I took over the duties of Pilot/Mechanic.
