Rusty,

Bummer.

What exactly failed?  Is this the tube spacer that is between the bearing blocks on the engine mount?  Did it and the AN4 bolt bend or break?   Any pix?

My 1990 235/340 (1987 kit 173) had the left upper tube to the left nose gear pivot block fail yesterday resulting in a nose gear up landing. I believe the tube failure occurred after I made a sharp turn to runway line up. It retracted but the nose gear up light did not illuminate. It would not extend since it twisted and jammed in the tunnel. I have not had any trouble with shimmy. The aircraft has about 1,000 hours.
