Thanks for asking.  Yes, the new windshield is in.  Took 3 days.  I hired  Casey Lewis (whom you might know) from up your way as he has replaced several LNC4 windshields.

FYI, my windshield crack  appeared to originate from an internal fault in the windshield., however, there were many other tiny cracks that were revealed after  the windshield was removed.  Dont know if the tiny cracks were a result of my takeoff incident in Vegas in 2003 or maybe we have an aging problem with the acrylic itself.

 I havent put the instrument panel back in yet as I am trying capture the engine mount bolts behind the firewall;  to allow me to tightened the bolts each annual from the engine side of the firewall.  Turns out to be a lot harder to do than I originally thought.
