I = believe the tube failure occurred after I made a sharp turn to runway = line up. It retracted but the nose gear up light did not illuminate. It = would not extend since it twisted and jammed in the tunnel. I have not = had any trouble with shimmy. The aircraft has about 1,000 hours. Rusty=
