I suggested they shove it and they suggested that they would file a lien on the aircraft title until the tax was paid. The plane was seen at an airport when their inspector was taking inventory and was therefore subject to Calif. taxation. Took weeks of calls and letters and documents to convince them I did not live and the aircraft was not based in California. =20 So yes they have inspectors but they are happy to collect inappropriate taxes as well. :-( Robert M.
