David:

I installed Rosen sun-visors in my L-IVP although they had to be custom
contoured to fit properly.  The only time I use them is on long flights
into the sun altho my wife uses them a lot more than I do.  (same when we
drive)

One thing to consider is head room.  When my gear folded on takeoff, the
plane pulled 6+ G's during ground impact.  The inertia reel on my shoulder
harness kept my head from hitting the windshield but it didnt prevent my
head from hitting the little red adjustment screw that protrudes from the
bottom of the visor.  Cost me 6 stitches.  (no more little red screw!!!)

If you always fly/drive with sunglasses, you may not need them but since
this is one of the lowest $$$ options you can buy for a Lancair, why
not???

Regards, Bill Hogarty
