 My partner and I are in the process of rebuilding a IV-PT and we've have the
Walter Turbine which was rebuilt about 6 months and were told that some
preventative maintenance should be done so that parts would not go bad (Fuel
Control seals?).  Any help on things that should be done
(procedures/instructions) with pictures preferably would be most appreciated.
 
 Also, does anyone have a good recommendation for a fuel pump that is good,
quiet (since it will be in the cabin) and reliable for transferring fuel from
the belly tank to the wing tank?

[Hi Denis,  Bleeding the FCU every 6 months while the engine is in storage insures that all internal parts remain wetted out with fuel or preservative (we recommend Shell Tellus T-oil 15, a light hydraulic fluid) in case there has been any leakage that might have allowed air to enter the unit.  The air will have some humidity in it which can condense and cause centerless-ground valves and other components to rust, which can render the FCU inoperative.  I'll send you a copy of the FCU bleed procedure on Monday when I get to the office... it includes a number of photos and clearly explains the process step by step.  As for transfer pumps, we have one that is both quiet and inexpensive, intended for in-cabin installation... they're in stock and I could have one to you in a day or two.  Call me at 386-295-9279 Monday morning and I'll get you set up.  <Marv>   ]
