Latex is highly permeable to many chemicals including amine (the hazardous compound in epoxy that give you a rash). A few years ago I read two different reports showing that latex gloves actually concentrate the amount of harmful compounds in your bloodstream more than bare hands. This is because the latex membrane passes and concentrates the harmful chemicals right to your skin. Since your skin pores are opened (your hands will sweat inside a rubber glove) it flows easier into your bloodstream. You might want to try some nitrile gloves. They evidently work just fine against a wide range of solvents (exception: MEK or Meth-chloride) and harmful compounds. I know of one epoxy layup company I heard of that uses them successfully in production. I get mine mail order for ~$15 per 100 in a case. http://www.biscotools.com/products.htm There are also quite a few "skin coat" type compounds out there specifically formulated for epoxy. I hate them.
