Glasair Bruce asked me for some more information on my home made retractable step for my LIV.  I finally found the original sketches which show conceptually how it looks.  But now I can not find Bruce’s email since I dumped a lot of files.  So there are the sketches.  The final design was slightly different (different spring location primarily) but these convey the essentials if you are ambitious or crazy enough to try it yourself.  It is a pretty and elegant installation, but everything barely fits in the space allowed making the installation a bitch.  Maybe it would be easier on a Glasair.
