John, I had a similar loud bang in a pressurized twin, at night.  It was so loud I thought a door or window must have ruptured.  But I looked immediately at the cabin pressure to see how quickly it was declining and...no change.   A large bag of potato chips blew up in the rear of the aircraft.  I have to admit it scared me terribly until we figured out what happened.
