You can the 3M electricians tape in a variety of colors including
white which is what I use. It stretches nicely and stays put reasonably
well as long as you do not stretch it too far or stretch it near the
ends. In that case it creeps. But it is cheap enough and fast
enough to replace annually with no sweat. I found that in the rain,
it will push into the groove at the leading edge. No problem, put on
another layer locally.
