actually I think most probes have the capacitance
to freq conversion built in.
So what comes out is the frequency.
If you have e.g. princeton senders, they
convert freq to a voltage between 0 and 5vdc.
....which I think means if you have a known good
sender, that and a vom are your cheapest diagnostic tool
