An ohm meter will not
work.
I believe these are capacitive. You would
need a meter that reads capacitance. Capacitance varies as a function of fuel
level.
If you do get
continuity it means that the capacitive plates have
shorted!

Subject: [LML] Vision Micro Fuel
probe
Does anyone out
there know how to check a Vision Micro fuel probe with an ohm meter. We
are trying to trouble shoot why we have no reading on our LH fuel gage.
It has worked well for years but has now decided to quit. We are in the
process of checking all wiring and connections, but I would also like to be
able to check the probe.
