Yes. Metallic paint will affect your antenna performance.
There are some metallic-looking paints that actually contain no metal.
These are actually
a light gray pigment paint heavily loaded with pearlescent
layered-dielectric particles.
I don't know if there is an aircraft compatible paint of this type,
but it is used in certain
laptop computers over the touchpad.
