These pieces are intended to eliminate bending where the hose meets the fitting, especially when the gear is retracted. The pieces are 3-3/4" long, made from 3/4 x 3/4 x 1/16 thick 2024 angle stock, cut out and tapered as shown for fitting clearance and to save weight. The pieces mirror eachother.
No doubt they're unnecessary but I feel better for having installed them- minimal time and materials was involved. -Bill Wade
