Bill,

I have what I think is a good solution = to this=20 problem which actually serves a dual purpose.

Since there is not a lot of room in the = Legacy for=20 approach plates (or a tablet computer for plates), I attached a "RAM = Mount" to=20 my Legacy Canopy (http://www.ram-mount.com/).  = The=20 particular one I chose has a square plate that can hold a tablet = computer or a=20 clipboard for approach plates or checklists.

You can use it as a handle to = lift/close the canopy=20 and it can hold your checklist or plates in flight.  (You need to = be=20 careful where you position it so it doesn't interfere with the=20 stick)

I attached it to the canopy along the=20 rim.  I used flox to attach a piece of phenolic = containing=20 mounting screws directly to the rim.  The base of the Ram Mount = screws on=20 to this.

If you just want it as a handle, you = can skip the=20 square plate and just get the "ball portion" of the Ram Mount. =20

If you send me your email, I will send = some=20 pictures.
