All,
My engine builder installed a way too long ABS
dipstick tube when he built my engine. I shortened it
by cutting it in half and gluing it back together.
After numerous attempts to stop it from leaking (where
I seamed it) I searched for one that was just the
right length. I could not find one so I had my friend
make me one. He hand milled it out of a solid billet
of aluminum on a lathe. It came out absolutely
beautiful.
See attached pic.
If any of you show plane builders wants one, or just
want one the right length, let me know and I can have
one made for you.
He loves to do this kind of thing and will make them
for $135. I am certain he is working for cheap but his
work is way nice. It comes with a cap. There is a
place for an O ring seal. You will need to add your stick to the cap. There is a
set screw tapped for that.
I hope everyone had a great Holiday...
Plz contact me off line if you are interested...
Best,
