I omitted the Navaid Devices auto pilot from the list of avionics I mailed out. I absolutely agree that an auto pilot is high on the list. I went with a wing leveler (tracks GPS and stuff too) owing to cost and complexity. Second I bought my GNS 430 from Southeastern Avionics and will install it myself. They do not include an installation manual, I am getting one from my local avionics shop. The big problem is the Stormscope WX500 (very high utility score in my book, also omitted from my list), I found no where to buy it. However, I have a very accommodating avioniker nearby who is buying the unit, I'll install it and he'll check it out.
