The plane also employed the Cirrus get-out-of-jail card and the 'chute failed to get the plane down, possibily operated beyond its speed envelope.=20 =20 All our de-ice systems are tools to bail out of a situation into which we have inadvertantly inserted ourselves, but this wet wing seems to have a few more limitations.
