First, let me say to all the Legacy builders, who have
purchased our Legacy Innovations parts, a hearty thank you! I do appreciate all
the very positive comments and feedback that have been received over the past
few years. Your enthusiasm and glowing comments have been heartwarming, for
sure.
In the past, we have made these Lancair Legacy parts in
house. While it’s always been a challenge to keep up with orders, we somehow
managed. However, as many of you know, we lost our last parts maker earlier this
year and, as a result, have not been shipping for quite some time
now.
We are officially announcing that we are once again taking
orders thanks in large part to a new and outstanding subcontractor most of you
are familiar with. With that said, I am pleased to announce that Composite
Creations, owned Vern Pifer and his wife Linda, are our new subcontractors. Many
of you know Vern from his years at Lancair and recall many positive experiences.
We all appreciate all the great help and support that he has provided to us
builders over the years. Linda also worked in Lancair’s composite department and
has become quite a talented composite technician. They have started their own
composite business and we are really pleased with the quality of their work. You
will be, too. Also, if you have any need for composite work, please consider
them. They have set up a great facility near Redmond, OR,
and can likely meet any of your composite needs at a reasonable price. You can
reach Vern at compc@qwest.net
or call him at 541-408-5106 (mobile).
There is quite a bit of pent-up demand and I am sending an
email to all of those who have told me they are just waiting for this
announcement. Hopefully, I won’t miss anyone. In any case, go ahead and mail in
the order form. We are taking orders, once again!
We are going to be cranking out parts just as fast as we
can until we get caught up. Of course, in the meantime, we welcome all new
orders and should be able to ship those in a reasonable amount of time, as
well.
To begin with, we are offering our three most popular
kits:
1)
The Speed Mod Kit (both the
full 11 piece kit and the 4 piece kit)
2)
Integral Wingtip Lights
kit
3)
Winglets
Next, I hope to add back in our popular Aft Storage Tube.
Unfortunately, I have misplaced a key part of the mold. I’ll either have to
locate it or make another (very time consuming!). Additionally, I am pleased to
announce some new products listed below:
First, we have a new instrument panel dust cover that fits
the Legacy. Yes, it fits the shape of the fuselage and works with the standard
Lancair instrument panels. Now, there is no need to totally rework the cover
that comes with the kit.
Second, we are offering a Don Barnes designed flat EFIS
instrument panel. This is just the ticket for those wanting to install one of
the new EFIS systems. This panel eliminates the bulge of the center stack and is
perfectly flat all the way across. This allows for side by side placement of
your EFIS displays or whatever arrangement you like. Very cool. We also offer a
properly fitting dust cover for this new panel.
Third, we are offering a series of prepreg products at very
competitive prices. Take a look at our web site order form for more information.
Note that Vern and Linda make one side of these panels so smooth and flat that it’s
shiny like glass!
One final note, in an effort keep costs at a minimum, the
only payment method we accept is a personal check. Therefore, to order our
products, click on “Download an order form” on our website. Print this form,
fill it out, and mail it to us, along with your check. Once we receive your
order, Vern and Linda will promptly make your parts!
Once again, thanks for all your prior business, and we are
officially taking parts orders once again!
Ron
