Returning home to the Denver area I checked my Garmin 90 for time of sunset, since I prefer not to fly at night. Comparing that with my ETA it looked good, but later in the day it became obvious I wasn't going to make it. Checking more closely, the date/time revealed that the Garmin thinks it is 1958. It’s three and a half years out of warranty and was still navigating OK, I could live with it, but I figured it was probably a software bug and maybe they would take care of it for a reasonable cost. If I got really lucky they might even throw in a fresh database, so I shipped it in. A few days later a box arrived, inside was another box containing a brand new Garmin 92, free of charge. It has a 12-channel receiver and several other improvements over the 90. Now that’s what I call Customer Service. Thanks Garmin, are you listening Terra? ===== BILL HANNAHAN WFHANNAHAN@YAHOO.COM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
