This is a personal note to Mike DeHate - but everybody on the LML should
know this guy!!! I got my personal check-out from Mike in N235SP back in
1994 and there is no one better. I've seen two of Mike's Lancairs and they
were superb.

Howdy Mike! Good to see your name pop up on the LML. N235SP is running great
and I can't thank you enough for the smarts you pounded into my head during
my check out. I firmly believe you have saved my life at least twice - both
having to do with a totally malfunctioning pitot/static system. In each
case, once when the pitot lines sprung a leak and the other when the static
lines filled up with water (a long story, told here once before), I flew it
like you taught me and both times returned to the field to an uneventful
landing (only me and my laundry man will ever know how exciting it really
was!).
