Thanks for the reply (I always enjoy your quips).  In this case, the flow is from the pipe thread to the hose.  Since it’s oil under pressure, I wouldn’t think the flow would be appreciably different.

p.s. Torque wrench?  If I can’t get them off by hand, I just use my teeth.
