This devilish consideration is, of course, if the problem is actually with the pressure switch. Before that, construct an emergency check list for gear down failures with the emergency extension procedure as the last set of items on the checklist. As Rob mentioned, cracking the dump valve and working from that result is a good starting point for debugging the problem.
