For my plane I am alodining and then using an epoxy primer. The epoxy primer provides a moisture barrier, unlike many other primers. The primer I am using is AKZO #463 12-8 . It provides a very scratch resistant surface. Long parts are scuffed and painted with AKZO primer (no alodine). If I only have a small part, and I do not want to set up the gun I will use Tempo Zinc Chromate Primer (in a spray can) For Alodining here are some links: You can search the VansAirforce forums and search for primer or alodine. You can also go to the Matronics lists and search the RV lists. Good Luck Larry Rosen RV-10 #356 N205EN (reserved)
