Jim, you didn't indicate which Lancair model. As I said previously, the Altrak in my 235/320 works very well and I consider it one of my most treasured investments. In the 235 the trim system is spring bias in both directions and that may have some effect. I do not have the bob weight installed. I also have the Pictoral Pilot and like it. Earl
