My plane just came out of phase 1. We did get it to stall straight ahead +/- 5 degrees of roll, and with stall strips it gives a good buffet.  However, to accomplish this, we have the strips pointed almost half an inch above the center of the leading edge.   That also appears to add a lot to stall speed, maybe as much as 10 knots.

Questions for those of you that have stall strips:

1) did you get your plane to stall straight ahead?

2) did you have to set your strips high?  how much?

3) what were your with/without stall speeds clean and dirty?

thanks,

Colyn
