Don't prime, or if you do, just for a = couple of seconds. Set the throttle about half way full open and = mixture in cutoff. Crank the engine, and it will crank a few more turns = than normal, but when it fires, push the mixture on to less than full = and quickly grab the throttle and get it back to the idle range because = when the engine fires it will start to race. Works good. I lean = agressively on the ground when taxiing. I set about 900 RPM and lean = until I get RPM rise. The plugs will load up with too much fuel in = there. In your case, Steve, when you get a few firing rotations and then it = dies, the plugs are flooded. The engine needed more air during the = start process. Give it a try.
