As you know, many of us use the grey Jeffco tank sealer not
only for our fuel tanks, but also to coat other raw carbon fiber areas inside
the airplane that are susceptible to damage (soaking) from fuel, hydraulic fluid,
etc. Examples are the inside belly of the plane and the well wells.
Personally, I’d like to use white inside the wheel wells, especially on a
white airplane. Anyway, Jeffco said that they would make a batch of white
tank sealer, but the minimum order is 15 gallons at $76/gal. I certainly don’t
need 15 gallons (unless I build a kit Antonov An-225), so let me know if anyone
else is interested. I know that other solutions have been posted, like
the DP40LF for example. Just thought I’d throw out another option
for consideration …
