The most important thing you can do to ensure that you get quality
workmanship when utilizing subcontract labor is frequently ignored. It's
foundation is in the fact that, frequently, the guy who gets the check is
not the guy doing the work. I have employed this technique numerous times
with amazing results.

It is quite simple. After negotiating the job cost with the boss, make
arrangements to meet with the individuals who will be doing the actual work.
Go to each in turn, press $50 to $100 into their palms while shaking their
hand and, while looking them directly in the eye, utter these words "Treat
this plane like it was yours. Do your best work and we will have this talk
again." Make sure the boss doesn't see you. Works every time.
