 1) IT'S NOT YOU, OR THE OPERATING TECHNIQUE.
 
 2) Remember the valve leak series on the engine monitor from class?  Are your
EGTs dancing during cruise?  It is very possible that you are NOT having valve
leakage while it's running.  The static compression test is not very good.
