You mean the LIV doesn't have mechanical down locks? Bruce www.glasair.org [There are spring loaded pins that engage the gear mechanisms when in the full down position, so yes, there are down locks. They are disengaged by the hydraulics when the gear retract. That's the part I _suggested_ might have been damaged or broken in my earlier post. Whatever the case, the right one sure didn't do its intended job in this instance (or so it appears). (Could be these were older gear actuators that didn't have the SB regarding o-rings and springs applied.... we'll probably never know for sure though.) ]
