I recommend a quite inexpensive AOA device called a "Lift Reserve = Indicator" ("LRI" for short)that is easy to install, has a panel guage = -not lights- as clear indication of AOA, is light-weight, non-electrical = and its only moving parts are attached to the needle in the guage = itself. I've used it for years and never had problems with it even = since Rita shredded my hangar and bashed my LNC2 last fall. About $500. = Google it.
