An additional $100 for TFRs and $300 for winds is just stupid. And of course, the 'bad' maneuver that WSI made on Garmin ensured that WSI weather on the MX-20 MFD is a dead end product. Garmin refuses to update it. WSI seems to have made a conscious decision to rape-n-plunder while they can, knowing that as soon as XM weather gets some certified applications, they'll be out of business. The only place WSI will be in is corporate and other high dollar stuff that doesn't care about cost. This 'don't care about anybody but big guys and ourselves' attitude shows up in their refusal to provide usable flight planning software for the home computer. They supply WSI to a lot of FBO, but it too is so stupidly expensive that a single pilot can never justify it. Natural progression: Started out with the best product and leading the pack, has slipped back to one of the pack, and soon will be able to pack it in. Change and adapt, or die. Chuck Jensen
